Richard N. Pariseau, 93, of Newport, NH, passed peacefully at his home, April 16. Dick was born and spent his full, robust life in Newport.
Dick married Betty Gilson and enjoyed 70 years of marriage before her passing on April 30, 2021.
He joined the Army and served with a tour of duty in the Korean War.
Dick was an insurance salesman for John Hancock Life for 32 years. Prior to starting this career, he had the opportunity to work for a variety of local businesses acquiring a wealth of skills and knowledge. He enjoyed meeting people and had numerous close friends. He often mentioned, "he had a fabulous life", and enjoyed more years of retirement than he worked. Dick was devoted to his family and enjoyed time at hunting and fishing camp with friends. They spent many winters at their condo in Florida and summers at Perkins Pond.
Dick leaves behind daughters Lynn Gibson and Joni Quimby (her husband Paul); granddaughters Ashley Gibson and Lindsay Roberge (her husband Cliff) and sons Owen and Evan.
